Sunteks

"Picanol was one of the very few machinery manufacturers who actually lived up to their promise."

Sunteks is a fully vertically integrated textile mill, located at the end of the ancient “Silk Road” in Bursa. Established in 1977 it has its own spinning, weaving and finishing divisions equipped with the most modern technology. The activities focus on garment fabrics sold to famous brands and fast-fashion retailers. The competitive edge of Sunteks lies in its very close contact with its customers and the ability to understand their needs. The in-house sampling capability is a strong asset in this respect. The design team gets constant input from catwalk shows, design services and customers all over the world.

Sunteks has been working for many years with its customers to shorten lead times and to develop exclusive collections. The total output consists of 19 million meters per year of dyed fabric, 12 million meters printed fabric, 3.5 million meters digital printing, 6 million kg yarn dyeing, 1.1 million meters coating, 1.5 million meters flock printing and 4.5 million meters fancy weaving. The 50,000 m2 facility is equipped with the latest production machinery and is vertically integrated, with the ability to take in the raw cotton and produce completely finished fabrics. The output is over 100,000 meters per day. For its weaving machines Sunteks has opted for the latest Picanol technology.

The decision to go for Picanol was taken during ITMA 2011 in Barcelona. Looking back, we see that Picanol was one of very few machinery manufacturers who actually did what was promised during the negotiations. We are very grateful to the Picanol machine sales team and service facilities for this. Most impressively, all the claims made by Picanol concerning technical data and productivity have been put into practice one by one. We are also very proud of having the 10,000th OptiMax in our weaving shed.”
