Ilay

Ilay Textile, based in Bursa, Turkey, was established in 1992 by Ali Ay. Since 1995 it has five departments: Printing, Dyeing, Weaving, Finishing and Apparel. Ilay specializes in flock printing, in which the design is cut from a colored foil and then pressed onto the shirt under high heat. Ilay is constantly investing and upgrading with the latest technologies. For example it has rotary and digital printing machines on which it can produce both knitted and woven fabrics composed of polyester, viscose, cotton, nylon or mixtures.

The company is expanding rapidly and now exports the majority of its output, with 70% of the production going to 35 different countries. It mainly produces women's and children's wear, and occasionally also men's shirts. The professional team of designers, colorists and technicians makes sure that each and every customer gets what they want, based on the trends set by world-famous designers. To develop the new designs Ilay has an R&D team of 15 people who attend seminars and courses in other countries and blend the resulting inspiration with their own artistic ideas. In addition to Ilay’s latest trend collections, customers' own creations can also be printed digitally. Ilay Textile currently has 64 Picanol OptiMax machines (both dobby and jacquard versions), along with 16 OMNIplus 800 (cambox version) and 20 OMNIplus Summum (dobby) weaving mainly women’s outwear.
