Can tekstil

Can Tekstil is an integrated woven fabric producer. When the company was established in 1985 it had a monthly output of 350 tonnes of yarn. Today it is a vertically integrated producer of fabric, with a weaving mill having been introduced in 1989, a dyeing & finishing mill and waste water treatment system in 1993 and a co- generation plant in 1996. Now the Can name is associated as a pioneer not only in textile but also in the energy, agriculture, healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. All marketing, sales, import-export, accountancy and general administrative activities are carried out at the head office in Istanbul. The production facilities are located in Corlu, Tekirdag, with nearly 1200 employees working under same roof. The total fabric production capacity is 1,000,000 meters per month. The first step in the fabric production process is the yarn itself. To ensure a strong basis for the quality of the fabric, Can Tekstil takes great care with the fiber purchasing process.

Further, Can Tekstil has Eco-Tex Standard 100 certification for all the fiber types used in the process. Can Tekstil shows great sensitivity for the environment and human wellbeing not only with the fibers but also with all the other materials. The weaving mill is equipped with Picanol rapier and airjet machines producing men’s & women’s outerwear fabrics in different compositions. After the ITMA exhibition in 2011 in Barcelona, Can Tekstil decided to go for the brand new OMNIplus Summum airjets and OptiMax rapiers from Picanol, and installed 24 Summum and 29 OptiMax machines capable of working with a very wide range of patterns. After the weaving process, piece and yarn dyed fabric is produced in the dyeing & finishing plant with the latest technological machines. Today Can Tekstil exports over 70% of its output and is a preferred supplier for some of the most famous brands in the world including ZARA, H&M, ANN TAYLOR, Express, Next, M&S, Gerry Weber, ESPRIT, S.
