The next-generation OmniPlus-i Connect: expanded EcoBoost application range presented at ITM

When performance, sustainability, and ease of use come together in one weaving machine

The successful launch of the next-generation OmniPlus-i Connect at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2025 marked a significant step forward in airjet weaving technology, particularly when it comes to reducing operational costs. One of the standout features is EcoBoost, designed to significantly reduce energy consumption up to 1.5 kW per machine and thus lower overall energy costs.

Picanol achieves impressive speeds of up to 1,350rpm on narrow OmniPlus-i Connect machines. When operating at such high speeds, machines equipped with EcoBoost can deliver important energy savings, providing a clear competitive advantage for our customers in terms of efficiency and sustainability.

EcoBoost has already proven its value on high-performance cambox machines. Now, following its introduction at ITM in Istanbul, it is also available on OmniPlus-i Connect machines equipped with the advanced SmartShed Pro, Picanol’s fully electronic shedding motion.

Weaving machines equipped with SmartShed Pro are fully capable of delivering this high level of performance while offering exceptional ease of use. Changing a weave can be done quickly and effortlessly, requiring only a simple setting on the intuitive BlueTouch display.

In addition, an airjet weaving machine equipped with the SmartShed Pro introduces a unique, semi-automatic shed angle adjustment. This user-friendly process requires just loosening and tightening one bolt per motor, while the settings are controlled directly on the BlueTouch display.

With this new generation of SmartShed Pro, every effort has also been made to further enhance electrical efficiency, to ensure optimal performance with minimal energy consumption.
