Programmable weft tensioner (TEC)

Obtain low weft tensions using programmable brakes

Using programmable weft brakes, TEC allows one to weave with very low static tension at the exit of the prewinders. TEC decreases the brakeforce when the yarns are traveling at high speeds. This is thanks to a fast-reacting brake shoe. The control of TEC is fully digital through the display.

Each weft channel, which is equipped with TEC programmable brakes, can be programmed by timing and braking force, during critical parts of the insertion cycle, e.g. presentation, cutting, transfer, and the release of the weft yarn.
