SmartShed Pro: the fully digital shedding motion – now even more user-friendly, robust, and efficient

Since the introduction of Picanol’s fully electronic shedding motion, we have proven that no other system on the market can match its level of digitization and performance. This innovation has been greatly appreciated by Picanol’s customers throughout the world. Driven by our unwavering commitment to continuous improvement, we have further optimized this feature, and this has resulted in an updated design: SmartShed Pro.

While the basic concept remains the same, significant enhancements have been made to both the mechanical and electrical setups. 

One of the main breakthroughs on SmartShed Pro is that the shed angle can now be set directly on the easily accessible unit. Setting changes are now far more ergonomic and save valuable time – without compromising either efficiency or performance. This makes SmartShed Pro truly unique in its class. Moreover, the improved cable trajectory and new drives ensure an even lower energy consumption.
