Picanol achieves milestone with production of 300,000th weaving machine in Ypres
Yesterday saw the 300,000^th weaving machine pass the end of the production line since production first commenced at the weaving machine manufacturer Picanol, Ypres. This represents yet another milestone in the long history of Picanol, which was founded on 22 September 1936. The 300,000^th weaving machine, an OMNIplus 800 airjet weaving machine, will be shipped this week to a customer based in PR China.

Picanol introduces new airjet at ITMA-Asia + CITME 2010
At the occasion of the ITMA-Asia + CITME fair (22-26 June, Shanghai) Picanol will introduce a new airjet model, the OMNIplus-X. This machine is developed and produced in Picanol’s Suzhou plant in China, but using the proven OMNIplus 800 technology. The OMNIplus-X responds to the requirements of the Chinese mid-end segment and comes in weaving widths of 190 cm and 220 cm. Its availability will be limited to the Chinese market for the time being.
